This Week’s Engraving Highlights:
Firearm Engraving and Marking
Our expert engravers have decades of experience engraving and customizing firearms.
Laser Stippling is the process of using high-powered lasers to burn or cut away material. The high power of a laser can cause small holes to be burned or cut into the surface of the pistol grip. These holes then allow the user to apply textures to the grip.
National Firearms Act Markings or better known as NFA Marking, is a government-required compliance marking for individuals, trusts, or legal entities that initially created the NFA firearm. San Antonio Laser Engraving meets this marking requirement.
In love with Heckler & Koch? San Antonio Laser has you covered! Laser engrave HK symbols and markings (aka: proof marks) for H&K receivers, frames, barrels, and slides.
The trigger guard undercut provides an increased grip angle for the shooter, reducing the amount of movement needed to pull the trigger. This aids in reducing muzzle flip and improving recoil control, allowing for quicker returns to the target and faster subsequent shots.
A memory cut is a small notch made in the barrel of a firearm. It is used to provide a reference point for the shooter's support hand/knuckles. This modification is not permitted in a lot of competitions.
Removing the finger groove on a pistol is a great way to make your gun feel better to hold. We remove the factory groove and replace it with laser etched grip stippling. Additionally, we can leave in tact the actual grooves and sand them out. Then we apply new laser stippling.
Backstrap Removal starts with sanding and or engraving of a backstrap. It's a fantastic way to add a “finished” appearance to your laser-stippled project. Typically, backstraps are engraved using the same pattern as the sides to give the firearm a more “wrapped” appearance.
San Antonio Laser Engraving offers coating services. Cerakote application is a ceramic-based finish that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers, and wood. Designed to protect metal parts from rusting, chipping, and fading. Cerakote comes in various colors such as white, black, blue, green, red, yellow, silver, gold, and copper.
Multicolor Cerakoting is another finishing process for metals, plastics, polymers, and wood. It involves applying multiple colors of Cerakote, a durable ceramic-based coating, to achieve a desired design or pattern. The colors are applied sequentially and cured between each layer, resulting in a unique and visually appealing multicolor appearance.
